Derashos Haran Source
I recently discovered a valuable source in Derashos Haran from a shiur given by Rabbi Lopiansky, specifically Talk 10. In this talk, the Ran explains how the Torah provides godly laws for the people while allowing the king to establish additional laws for everyday matters such as traffic regulations. The Torah does not oppose this and leaves room for the Beis Din or King to guide through the rest of the laws. Additionally, a letter from Rav Chain Ozer to Rabbi Herzog is worth mentioning, referencing a similar approach of the Beis Yosef.
