Parshas Chayei Sarah Summary
Sarah dies at age 127 and is buried in the Machpelah Cave in Chevron, purchased by Avraham for four hundred shekels of silver. Avraham sends his servant Eliezer to find a wife for Yitzchak. At a well, Eliezer prays for a sign: the woman who offers water to his camels will be Yitzchak's wife. Rivka, daughter of Besuel, fulfills this sign. Eliezer tells her family the story, and Rivka returns with him to Canaan, where she marries Yitzchak. Avraham marries Keturah and has six more sons. Avraham dies at age 175 and is buried beside Sarah by his two eldest sons, Yitzchak and Yishmael.
