Parshas Metzora Outline

Hashem instructed Moshe on the ritual of cleansing those with Tzaraas. If the Kohen observed healing, he would procure two live, clean birds, cedar wood, crimson stuff, and hyssop.

The Kohen would then sprinkle the blood seven times on the individual to be cleansed and release the live bird. The individual would wash clothes, shave hair, bathe, and become clean.

On the eighth day, the cleansed person presented two male lambs, one ewe lamb, choice flour, and oil for the priest's offering. The Kohen slaughtered a lamb, applied blood and oil to specific body parts, and anointed the head.

If the individual was poor, two turtle doves or pigeons could replace the lambs. Hashem then instructed Moshe and Aaron on the cleansing ritual for houses affected by Tzaraas.

The Kohen was to inspect the house, which would be isolated for seven days because of greenish or reddish streaks on the walls.

Furthermore, instructions were given for cleansing individuals with impure discharges. Those affected would undergo specific cleaning procedures, including washing clothes, bathing, and remaining unclean until evening.

Objects touched by the individual would also need cleansing; for men with emissions or women with certain discharges, purification processes and periods of impurity were outlined.

God instructed Moshe and Aaron to caution the Israelites against impurity to avoid defiling God's Tabernacle and facing potential consequences.
