Our theme here this week, Parshas Korach, has been emes, has been truth and more specifically fighting for it. To be a fighter like Shamai and Hillel and not a fighter like Korach V'adaso. Bear with me as I explain to you why I believe, and please give me the benefit of the doubt here, why walking in the wine store tomorrow to buy your wine you get to choose if you are Shamai and Hillel or Korach V'adaso. When a person picks up a bottle of wine that's a fancy label that might be 30, 40 50, maybe 60 to $80 for a wine on Shabbat that he might enjoy, but rather he's buying it because it looks nice; it's fancy; it's the bottle that gives him status; it's the bottle that he even tricks his mind into thinking that he enjoys. Well, that may not be such a smart decision. Fight for truth. Pick up a bottle of wine, start tasting $19.99 bottles of wine $25 bottles of wine even Yes, $13 bottles of wine. I promise you you will find a bottle of wine that you enjoy. If you are true to yourself and you fight for truth and you do not care about what power status, Gaaveh, or honor you get from it, not only will you have more pleasure, but you might even save a little bit of money.
Here are some great episodes to start with.
