00:00:02.483 --> 00:00:14.192
In this episode of the Motivation Congregation we will endeavor to learn a bit about the monkey catching tactics of the native Brazilians.

00:00:14.192 --> 00:00:27.170
We will attempt to learn a bit of Portuguese and hopefully conclude with a practical take away about repentance during the month of El.

00:00:27.170 --> 00:00:31.128
So how do they catch monkeys in Brazil?

00:00:31.128 --> 00:00:50.847
How do the poachers since these monkey hunters at times are acting illegally, since it seems, according to modern research, that the monkey population worldwide is dwindling catch these slippery, rather quick fellows?

00:00:50.847 --> 00:01:00.863
So what they do is they set up a trap called the cumuca, which is I believe I'm saying that right is a Portuguese word for a pot.

00:01:00.863 --> 00:01:25.334
And then they put it in the middle of a field, and the cumuca is actually made out of a gourd, this pumpkin-like vegetable, and they carve a little hole in the cumuca, and in the cumuca they place a big cluster of bananas and then they run away to stand and watch behind a tree to see what will happen.

00:01:25.334 --> 00:01:35.671
And when the monkey comes walking by, he looks inside of this monkey trap, the cumuca, and he sees this wow, beautiful big bananas all his for the taking.

00:01:35.671 --> 00:01:50.790
He looks around, doesn't see anything, sure enough starts to move his hand inside to take the bananas and as soon as he grabs onto the bananas, the poachers, they start to run forth to try to put their nets on top of the monkey to trap him.

00:01:50.790 --> 00:01:56.042
But the monkey, the way that the trap is set up, is that he can get his hand inside of the cumuca.

00:01:56.042 --> 00:02:05.745
It's small enough when his hand is open, but now that he's holding onto the bananas he simply can't pull it out because the cumuca, the hole, is too small for the monkey's fist holding the bananas to get out.

00:02:05.745 --> 00:02:08.486
He's trying, he can, he can and they're coming quicker.

00:02:08.486 --> 00:02:15.401
So you'll ask, why doesn't the monkey just drop the bananas and run away, pull his hand out?

00:02:15.401 --> 00:02:25.385
You see, the monkey doesn't have enough intellect, doesn't have enough sechel to know to drop the bananas and save himself.

00:02:25.385 --> 00:02:28.467
He keeps thinking he's going to get the bananas out and he's going to run away.

00:02:30.580 --> 00:02:36.866
So what Amal tells us in chapter 50, it's actually 49, verse?

00:02:36.866 --> 00:02:49.484
And he is like the beast that falls silent.

00:02:49.484 --> 00:02:55.491
See, we all have our cluster of bananas.

00:02:55.491 --> 00:03:02.913
You may all be trapped on that one sin, that Achilles heel, that weakness that we just can't shake.

00:03:02.913 --> 00:03:05.586
And the Yomad din is coming.

00:03:05.586 --> 00:03:10.043
The advice is simple the human intellect.

00:03:10.043 --> 00:03:15.847
It tells us what to do Drop the bananas.

00:03:15.847 --> 00:03:19.247
The way that Rob Fran said it the great Rob.

00:03:19.247 --> 00:03:20.231
You saw her friend.

00:03:20.231 --> 00:03:24.787
He said we all have our bananas and it is this that we should remember.

00:03:24.787 --> 00:03:29.223
It's simple Don't be like an animal.

00:03:29.223 --> 00:03:31.305
Don't get caught in the Kumuka.

00:03:31.305 --> 00:03:35.841
Let go of the sin and save yourself.
