Test yourself. Are you ready for a bechina? Are you confident? Do you have rock solid cast iron confidence? Do you care what people say behind your back? Do you have unbreakable self awareness? Do you have a strong self image? The Mesilas Yesharim tells us in his opening thesis statement, our job is to discover our own individual “chovaso beolamo” our mission in our world, and it would follow that once that is crystal clear to you and you have defined your mission, then you must be dauntless. You must be unyielding. You must be tenaciously searching to acquire that goal. This is why confidence is so important. You mustn’t care what anybody has to say about what you are doing to reach your mission. Ready for the Bechina? Here's the test the barometer for you to figure out if you have self confidence, how do you know that you have reached that ideal confidence level? It's when criticisms and compliments mean the same to you. They're both someone else's opinion. They're both nice ideas, but they have zero affiliation to what I'm actually doing here. Define, clarify and attack your mission, and then cherish all of the compliments and criticisms all the same.
