00:00:01.685 --> 00:00:18.228
God's holy law does not merely call us to our position and direct us how to go about our affairs, but also calls us back when we have fallen lost camp and feel like we cannot get up again.

00:00:18.228 --> 00:00:43.969
Teshuva is commanded of us and God tells us that it is very near to you and very, very plausible and possible and to really put this into a practical vision so that we can see just how incredible the Torah is and how Hashem calls us back over and over again.

00:00:43.969 --> 00:01:16.072
It came to mind that, out of all of the 1,704 chapters of all of Halacha, one of the most unique ones, one of the most unique chapters and my favorite chapter of Shulchan Aruch is chapter 52, nun Beis, because the law there discussed is all about a mensch, not how he should pray, but how he goes about praying.

00:01:16.072 --> 00:01:19.495
If he has come late to shul, what do you do?

00:01:19.495 --> 00:01:27.784
It's literally Hashem telling us and creating a little Pesach, a little bit of a tunnel, a get out of jail free card of.

00:01:27.784 --> 00:01:30.912
Well, it's not just Hefker, it isn't random.

00:01:30.912 --> 00:01:34.709
First you say Asherah and you make sure to get in this Halaluka.

00:01:34.950 --> 00:01:44.893
There's a plan, there's a method to coming back to your post, but it's a shame because people will get themselves Haralach v'Naflupanecha.

00:01:44.893 --> 00:02:05.709
They'll make themselves like Cain, who felt dejected, darkened complexion and depressed from his sin when Hashem didn't accept his offering and ultimately it didn't work out well for him, his offering, and ultimately it didn't work out well for him.

00:02:05.709 --> 00:02:11.691
But Hashem commands why would you be sad?

00:02:11.691 --> 00:02:19.724
Do better in the future, and all will be forgiven and all will be well.

00:02:19.724 --> 00:02:23.828
These are not new circumstances.

00:02:23.867 --> 00:02:26.735
This Elo, these are circumstances that are governed new circumstances.

00:02:26.735 --> 00:02:33.348
This Elul, these are circumstances that are governed by Torah, and Hashem is coaxing us and calling us to go about the tshuva process.

00:02:33.348 --> 00:02:34.905
And how do we do that?

00:02:34.905 --> 00:02:44.229
With the positivity, and not with the depression, but with the fact that I've shown up a bit late to davening.

00:02:44.229 --> 00:02:55.230
But I say, ashrei, I work my way back and I come on time for mincha and you come on time for mariv, and all of this is a mitzvah commanded by God.

00:02:55.230 --> 00:03:08.108
And when you go about it like this, with positivity, with optimism, with hallowem, teta v's'es, that's the easiest way to get tshuva accomplished.
