"Es Korban Ilach mi l'ishai rayach nichochi". Perhaps you've heard those words before. The Krias HaTorah every single Rosh Chodesh. The Torah gives such honor to the day that is the first day of the month. The commencement, the inception, and the kickoff of a month the Torah calls it the Rosh, the head, the beginning of the entire month. I am going to change, in 30 seconds, for the rest of your life how you see Rosh Chodesh. Let us begin. Oleh L'hashem. The korban of Rosh Chodesh is the exact same korban of every single holiday. It is a holiday. We bring the same Korban. Number two the Gemara in Shavuos daf yud amud aleph, "moed". The Gemara says "Rosh Chodesh ikriya moed". Rosh Chodesh is called a holiday a meeting we find the same question on Tisha B'Av. "V'kara alai moed". It is a meeting. Rosh Chodesh is like, is not like, is a holiday. And, last but not least, "Zman kapara l'chol toldosam". It is a mini Yom Kippur. Rosh Chodesh is michaper. It goes to battle for us and gives us atonement for all of our sins of the previous month. This mini Yom Kippur, this holy head. Beginning of a month of a day that we call Rosh Chodesh, I believe that it is time that we started making it great again.
Here are some great episodes to start with.
