00:00:01.622 --> 00:00:15.614
On this Matsue Shabbath exclusive edition of the Motivation Congregation, a story that I heard, actually from the person who was involved in this epic episode.

00:00:15.614 --> 00:00:42.865
And, to begin to kick it off, it's noteworthy that the Talmud, when looking for the definition of what an unlearned person is, it tells us that someone who may study Tyra, he knows a lot of information, but he doesn't watch the ways of the righteous To get the idiosyncrasies and all the mannerisms of how the G'daylam, the righteous, act.

00:00:42.865 --> 00:00:45.070
If you don't have that, you are unlearned.

00:00:45.070 --> 00:00:47.024
That's an amma aritso.

00:00:47.024 --> 00:01:01.990
It gives us a very unique opportunity tonight, and all the Matsue Shabbaths is going forward, to try to tell stories about the G'daylam, for perhaps this will give us the safety net from being called an unlearned individual.

00:01:02.960 --> 00:01:12.885
Rabbi Victor Miller Hakkhoin was one of the greatest Talmud-e-Kachomim and pillars of the Musur movement over the last century.

00:01:12.885 --> 00:01:20.864
He served as a Rav, as a Mashkiach, as a Torah influencer and a Maribits Tyra.

00:01:20.864 --> 00:01:32.890
Throughout the world he was famous for his veracity, his unique oratory skill and the presence in which he delivered messages.

00:01:32.890 --> 00:01:37.843
When he spoke, everybody listened and he spoke his mind.

00:01:37.843 --> 00:01:53.447
He spoke the truth and at one such fascinating encounter with Rabbi Victor Miller, somebody walked into his home to ask for some advice, to seek his counsel, and what he found was something very strange.

00:01:53.447 --> 00:02:05.423
He found that the Rav was standing by the sink and the faucet was on and the sink had been filled up to a very high level.

00:02:05.423 --> 00:02:12.709
It was almost about to overflow and the rashi-shiva's head was down, submerged in the water in the sink.

00:02:12.709 --> 00:02:16.540
Quickly he ran over to see if the rashi-shiva was okay.

00:02:16.540 --> 00:02:19.781
The Mashkiach was okay, rabbi, rabbi, rabbi.

00:02:20.014 --> 00:02:31.725
And then Rabbi Victor Miller, feeling a tap on his back, picks his head up out of the air, out of the water, taking a huge breath and the Bachar shaking him Rabbi, are you okay?

00:02:31.725 --> 00:02:32.247
Are you okay?

00:02:32.247 --> 00:02:34.323
Rabbi Victor Miller says yes, what do you need?

00:02:34.323 --> 00:02:38.872
He says before I ask what are you doing?

00:02:38.872 --> 00:02:50.824
And he says well, I wanted to feel the proper recognition and thankfulness to Hashem for the air that he gives us to breathe.

00:02:50.824 --> 00:03:01.326
So I submerged my head underneath the water so I could feel the need for air, so I really needed it and I would pick my head up at the last second and, ah, air, aviar.

00:03:01.326 --> 00:03:02.510
Thank you, hashem.

00:03:02.510 --> 00:03:10.716
And that would help me really understand, to appreciate that which I may take for granted, even air, the ultimate blessing.

00:03:10.716 --> 00:03:18.424
It's such a beautiful story and how true is it that we may take some of the greatest blessings that we have for granted?

00:03:18.424 --> 00:03:26.900
And even air, who has ever stood there in Shmone Esri and said thank you, hashem, for the air that you give me to breathe when your head's under water?

00:03:26.900 --> 00:03:27.861
And you need that air?

00:03:27.861 --> 00:03:29.364
Ah, how good is Shmok?

00:03:29.364 --> 00:03:32.689
It is Rabbi Victor Miller Hakkoyin.

00:03:32.689 --> 00:03:40.763
He told us how to thank Hashem, how to get a recognition of thanking Hashem, how to speak the truth, how to stand up for what is right.

00:03:40.763 --> 00:03:46.560
S'chusay yagayin aleinu, the holy Rabbi Victor Miller Hakkoyin.

00:03:46.560 --> 00:03:47.040
It's a great honor.
