Only one team has never lost, that is time. Time is undefeated. Father Time always wins in the end and time. It Ceaselessly just chugs on and we cannot stop it. Time always heading towards death, the ultimate Sof Posuk, the ultimate end game the game over, the termination of this game of life. While this might sound depressing and morbid, there's actually something quite inspiring about this. If you can hear this, well then that means that Hashem has not decided to take you. That means that you are so to speak beating time or, a different way to look at it. Hashem still has a job for you. Life is here, because we have a job, there's an opportunity each day is like this long runway. It is a free day that you can do whatever you want. Rambam tells us that you have Bechira, contrary to what we may think. WE make our decisions, and we are responsible for our decisions. The Vilna Goan probably the greatest rabbi of the last 500 years tells us and Mishlei King Solomon's wisdom partnered with the Vilna Goans wisdom... Why do you have breath in your lungs? Why are your eyes open? You are alive because you have a job. What is that job? It is to break whatever those that you have yet, to master, to overcome your flaws and to beat and dominate them into submission. That's why you're alive today. That reveals to us that if we are alive and you can hear me that we have a job to do so dominate and punish your middos into submission. And let the breath in your lungs inspire you to accomplish your mission before the team of death wins again.
